"I haven't had cancer, but I am concerned that I may develop it. I'm on Medicare, which will take care of most of the medical bills. But what if I have to travel for treatment? What about the work my spouse will miss? 1-Stop helped me with a Cancer and Critical Illness plan that pays me a lump sum directly that I can use any way I choose.." - DH
Cancer insurance can save you from financial disaster. There are two types of Cancer insurance normally available. One pays set amounts for various treatments and the other pays a lump sum, generally between $5,000 and $75,000, if you are diagnosed with cancer. The lump sum plans are frequently coupled with Critical Illness, which normally includes heart attack and stroke and sometimes additional conditions such as coma or paralysis. We have several companies that issue Cancer/Critical Illness policies. Most plans will not insure for cancer if you have been diagnosed/treated in the last 5-10 years. However, there are some that have only a 1 year look back. Contact us for more information.
